SHERCO UPDATES BALANCE BIKE RANGE

With Christmas fast approaching , Sherco Australia has announced its latest childfriendly model – the EB16 Factory . Less than a year after Sherco Australia launched the EB12 and EB16 electric balance bikes , the EB16 Factory now gives parents ( let ’ s face it , we ’ re the ones paying for these things , right ?) a higher-spec alternative with a more powerful brushless motor than the regular EB16 . The EB16 Factory also scores a rear disc brake , front suspension and styling updates including Factory inspired graphics – while still nurturing those fundamentals of motorcycling such as hand-eye coordination , balance and alertness . As with other options in the segment , the 16 in EB16 stands for the wheel size , making it a physical step up from the EB12 which is targeted at our youngest riders . The spec increase is actually quite impressive , making the EB16 Factory actually worthy of the Factory moniker . The motor moves up

from a 170W brush motor to a 250W brushless unit with the power making it to the rear wheel controlled by three speed modes compared to the two of the base EB16 . Additionally , the handlebar is higher and now a rather fantastic looking blue that matches the 16-inch rims . As well as a simple twist-and-go throttle , the EB16 Factory has a running time of up to 60 minutes and the option of a non-powered mode for kids to push , balance and coast before they are ready to twist the brushless motor . The EB16 Factory is supplied with a 240V household charger , owner ’ s manual and toolkit . It has a 12-month parts-only warranty . The retail price for the EB16 Factory is AU $ 999 with New Zealand pricing and availability yet to be confirmed by distributor Mojo Motorcycles .
