Island , the ride started at 9:30am . Not everyone had a route sheet holder , so it turned out that most riders just followed someone in front of them ... which turned out to be along the gravel route , with one plucky rider on his 1980s Le Mans vIII taking on the gravel route ; epitomising the enthusiasm , grit and determination of Moto Guzzi fans . The riders started to arrive back at Hallertau from 4:30pm and , after a quick clean up , the evening saw the Guzzisti enjoying a buffet dinner and some of Hallertau ’ s finest brews . Moto Guzzi NZ supplied a swag of spot prizes , with one lucky bugger even walking away with a very cool Moto Guzzi helmet .
