KIWI RIDER NOVEMBER 2021 VOL2 | Page 107

+ Great value ; Reliable , simple and economical ; Looks - Non-adjustable suspension , that ’ s about it
DISPLAY : The LCD dash gives plenty of information including fuel level , fuel economy and twin trips for mileage .
SUSPENSION : It might be simple and non-adjustable , but the suspension does the job without any fuss for a variety of riders in all conditions .
BRAKES : Bybre discs brakes ( by Brembo ) work well and come with ABS for those ‘ oh crap ’ moments .
ENGINE : The heart of the GSX- 250SF is a 249cc four-valve , single-cylinder motor which produces 19.5kW at 9300rpm and 22.2Nm at 7300rpm . Modest numbers , but certainly sufficient for a LAMScompliant learner machine .
CHASSIS : Nimble by nature , the GSX250SF is happy when flitting through congested streets , making U-turns and splitting lanes of stationary traffic sat at the lights . There ’ s enough room for a wide range of rider sizes , and the clip-on ‘ bars are above the top yoke , so there ’ s not too much weight on the wrists .
