preselection and engine drag torque control ( MSR ) are available as options . Helping control everything is one of the largest TFT screens in the industry measuring 10.25in with integrated map navigation and connectivity , meaning the days of BMW ’ s bolton GPS navigation units is now a thing of the past . This is , of course , matched to a sound system which BMW says offers and even better audio experience than previous RT models . Other functional additions including a cornering headlight system which BMW calls “ adaptive cornering lights ” which functions by moving the dipped-beam of the standard full- LED headlamp turns into the bend according to the banking position .
Visually the R1250RT has slimmed down for 2021 , with a shorter upper fairing and aerodynamic refinements . The real-world results are a wider field of vision for the rider , while at the same time making the new R1250RT appear lighter and sportier . No word as yet on when we can expect the first examples of the new R1250RT to arrive on our shores so stay tuned for an update in the near future .
