O
n Friday September 15, the beautiful
countryside of Wairoa was lit up by the
shining sun and was filled with a chorus of
revving engines. The weather had blessed
us with perfect riding conditions and the
Wairoa Motorcycle Sports Club had set out
an awesome track. The day couldn’t have turned out
any better and I’m sure that if you asked any of the
riders, they’d all say the same thing – they had an
awesome time! For the Wairoa club’s first event it
managed to successfully organise the perfect day.
Riding their track was thoroughly enjoyable with
a wide range of skill-testing obstacles. From tight
corners to decent jumps, there was something for
everyone. The track catered to all riding abilities
and skill-sets as there was more than one option
to take while racing. Parts of the track were
divided in two, acting as both passing lanes and
...all got to enjoy watching the
supporters’ race, consisting of
everyone who was just a bit too
old to be able to race against
the high-schoolers
