brother , but there is more torque there and , therefore , it is easy to ride quickly most of the time using less effort than with the smaller machine . However , it ’ s debateable whether the 390 is actually quicker than the 350 in a special test situation . I think rider preference and riding style will be the major factor here . There ’ s not much in it , just what suits you best .
CHASSIS The RR390 has an excellent chassis with good suspension . The frame is steel tube chromium molybdenum with a single backbone that splits to a double cradle in front of and below the engine . The sub-frame is a composite plastic .
On the RR models , ZF Sachs suspension is used both front and rear . The forks works very well as standard and only out-sized riders or very serious racers will need to take a visit to the suspension shop . 48mm USD forks with 295mm of wheel travel are adjustable for spring preload and compression and rebound damping . The action is plush , quite progressive and decently bottom resistant – excellent . The rear shock offers 290mm of wheel travel and is adjustable for preload and compression and rebound damping .
