MXGP TEAM COLOURS OUT IN ACTION

W hile the 2021 MXGP season has been postponed to May , we ’ re starting to see the new team colours flying as the big teams prepare for the opening round in the Netherlands on May 23 . KTM ’ s heavyweight Rome-based faction , including nine-time world champion Tony Cairoli , double MX2 world champion Jorge Prado and promising rookie Mattia Guadagnini , have debuted their KTM 450 SX-F and KTM 250 SX-F ‘ clothes ’ for the coming GP season that is due to start in Oss for the Grand Prix of the Netherlands on May 23 . Not to be left out , Monster Energy Yamaha has also debuted their 2021 livery with the blue Yamaha MXGP YZ450FM and MX2 YZ250FM machines seeing action at the Internazionali D ’ Italia in Sardinia alongside the KTM team .

The 2021 MXGP season was originally planned to kick off with the MXGP of Oman on April 3 . With the Covid-19 pandemic still raging in parts of the world , the Omani Grand Prix has been postponed to 2022 , the MXGP of Italy , MXGP of Portugal and the MXGP of Germany were also affected and moved from April / May to October . Other changes include two new venues which will host the two Indonesian rounds . The MXGP of Asia will head to the picturesque Borobudur on July 4 , while the MXGP of Indonesia will take place in Bali on July 11 . The MXGP of China has also been re-scheduled for November 7 , with a venue to be announced as well as the MXGP of Argentina set to be held on November 21 .
