I think the biggest win here is as a city-friendly commuter , it is fairly nimble , even given its weight and bulk , it is certainly powerful enough for touring , overtaking , and motorway running . It is comfortable to ride , has some excellent features for stability . Although the beeping alerts annoyed me intensely and made me feel a bit stupid when taking off , people wondered why I was beeping - one beep for on , and two beeps for standing assist off . Overkill I think – a training wheel for the training wheel . Given its price tag of $ 12,999 one would have to be keen , as the reduction of parking fees , registration and fuel costs might take a while to pay for themselves , but you ’ ll be dry , able to zip off on a decent weekend run , pick up the shopping , pop out for coffee , and hurtle into work , all on one vehicle that will park in a quarter of any car space required . Yamaha is renowned for the quality and longevity of its vehicles and motors , and it would be safe to assume that this will continue to be a fun commute for many years . It might provoke the odd comment from riders , but it will get you out with a breeze in your face and its remarkable economy will have you smiling all day long .
