GASGAS EXPANDS RANGE

G oing bigger for 2022 . That ’ s the word from KTM-owned GasGas Motorcycles as the firm adds three new motocross machines to its dirt bike line-up to bring the total number of bikes up to 26 globally . Kicking 2022 into action is the addition of a small wheel variant of the MC85 to help add another option for riders coming up through the ranks . That means it ’ s still a full-on race bike , but that allows smaller riders to continue developing their skills thanks to its 17 / 14 inch wheel combo rather than the original ’ s 19 / 16 sizing . In addition to its smaller rims , the MC85 comes armed with a powerful two-stroke engine backed by a six-speed gearbox , WP XACT suspension and bodywork that ’ s specifically designed to suit the growing young riders . In GasGas ’ eyes it ’ s a mini racer that delivers performance and durability plus a whole lot of fun .

For the big kids ( which , let ’ s face it , is all of us ), GasGas is bringing in two new models with the MC 250 2-stroke and MC 350F four-stroke . GasGas says the new MC 250 delivers everything two-stroke lovers need to race or play and , most importantly , enjoy a dirt-ripping , heart-pumping ride . Fuelling comes courtesy of a 38mm flat side Mikuni TMX carb while PANKL supplies the five-speed gearbox . Brembo , as expected , supplies the brakes which grip a 260mm and 220mm disc combo . Brembo also supplies the hydraulic clutch system for the MC 250 . In all , the MC 250 tips the scales at just 95.5kg without its full load of 7.5 litres fuel . The third bike in GasGas ’ global 2022 lineup is the new MC 350F , which GasGas claims strikes the perfect balance between playful 250-like agility and dirt-ripping 450-like torque .
