W hen the Benelli 752S rocked up at KR HQ , it looked stunning in its vibrant lime green colour-scheme . The naked Italian sportster has a 754cc parallel twin engine , and it ’ s a compact , modern and business-like looking machine with some high spec components too . Benelli motorcycles have always had Italian flair , but there ’ s often been a somewhat troubled financial history . Relatively rare in NZ , Benelli motorcycles is now under the Chinese Qianjiang umbrella , but still with ties to Italy ( Benelli as a company started in Pesaro Italy in 1911 by widowed Teresa Benelli and her six sons ). Qianjiang is a huge motorcycle manufacturing company that produces well over one million bikes yearly and it considers Benelli a premium brand in its fleet of machines .

ITALIAN FLAIR A quick walk around looking at the 752S impresses . All the historical Italian flair and nice build quality of old is still evident . The sloping , low-mounted single LED headlight with LED daytime running lights has shades of Ducati Brutale about it , and suits the machine .
