With the defining event of the FIM Cross Country Rallies World Championship underway , both KTM and sister-brand Husqvarna debuted their latest rally weapons in a bid for the Austrian manufacturers to retake Dakar glory . While we ’ re used to seeing incremental changes as each year of racing rolls around , the changes to the new Husqvarna and KTM 450 Rally bikes is more than revised internals . Making their debut after two years of development at the Rally Du Maroc in Morocco , the FR 450 Rally and KTM 450 Rally both make use of a new slimmer aerodynamic bodywork , a new frame and a new engine along with a host of other changes that neither team has spoken openly about just yet .
