APRILIA TUAREG

For 2022 Kiwis are going to be inundated with hot Italian adventure machines , with one of the most anticipated being Aprilia ’ s new Tuareg . Powered by a 660cc parallel-twin and weighing in at 187kg dry , the Tuareg will give riders a bike to fill the gap between the reasonably tech-free Yamaha Tenere 700 and the premium European offerings such as the KTM 890 Adventure or Triumph Tiger 900 . The technology package boasts a full APRC electronics package and 5-inch TFT dash with rider aids including includes Traction Control , Cruise Control , Engine Maps and Engine Braking . There are also four Riding Modes ,

two of which are customisable with one dedicated to off-road riding . Unlike the RS660 models which share the same Aprilia parallel-twin , the Tuareg version of the 660cc twin produces a claimed 80hp and 70Nm of power with the engine being utilised as a stressed member of the tubular steel trellis frame . Like its competition , the Aprilia sports an off-road focused 21- and 18-inch wheel combo with high-end adjustable suspension . Pricing is yet to be released at the time of writing , however , we expect the Tuareg to slot into the market somewhere around the $ 20,000 mark .
