KTM TWEAKS 390 ADVENTURE
KTM has updated its popular entry-level adventure steed – the 390 Adventure – with more technology for 2022 and fixed a couple of annoying issues in the process . Headlining the updates for the 2022 390 Adventure is the addition of rider modes for the traction control system . The 390 remains the only bike in the lightweight adventure class to feature traction control . The traction control system now has the option for a Street mode or an Off-Road mode , which KTM says give riders a degree of rearwheel slip to enable even easier use of the bike in loose or wet terrain . Importantly , KTM has fixed a major gripe which many riders had with the 390 , and now the traction control will remember its setting
should the bike stall . The same can be said for the Off-Road ABS setting which deactivates the rear ABS completely and dulls front-wheel intervention when active . The engine itself remains the same 373cc single-cylinder , four-stroke with a class-leading 43hp and 37Nm of torque . In terms of physical updates , the 390 Adventure now sports tougher cast-alloy wheels – spoked wheels remain a Powerparts option – with the construction based around five spokes instead of six . KTM says this configuration permits increased stiffness and resistance for the rims . The colourways have also been updated to reflect the latest in KTM ’ s big-bore hero bikes with two new colour options for 2022 .
