Words & photos: Madison Clarke New Zealand’s answer to the Romaniacs drew a big entry for 2017. T he second annual running of the Husqvarna Hard Adventure Enduro was held over Labour Weekend in the beautiful forests around Tokoroa. NZ’s premier hard enduro event drew a big entry, with 82 riders lining up to take on Sean Clarke’s Romaniacs-inspired hard enduro. PROLOGUE The event kicked off with the SATCO Logging Ltd Prologue, which determines the start order for day one and is a real highlight of the event. Each rider must complete a timed lap around the course, and the top ten from each grade race each other in the prologue finals. Beau Taylor ran away with the Bronze class lead to set himself up with a great start on the first off-road day. Kevin Archer rode in a team with his daughter Rachael and won the Silver class prologue, which set them up to leave first on day one. Jake Whitaker displayed his
