Of course , this is at the more extreme end of the use equation and the X-Cape is still quite capable at sensible speeds offroad . Perhaps the most obvious sign that Moto Morini didn ’ t design the X-Cape for hardcore use is the relatively short suspension travel ; 123mm up front and 135mm at the rear . As a comparison for those who have ridden a Tenere 700 , the 649 ’ s rear shock is softer , but the forks are a little firmer . For most typical road and gravel use the suspension action is great .
