If you're enjoy listening
to music when you ride or
like to take telephone calls
then you're in luck. The 390
has Bluetooth connectivity
allowing you to control music
on your phone via the left
hand switchgear, and also
answer calls. KTM has an
app – the My Ride App – that
can be downloaded from the
Apple App store or the Google
Play store, but we found we
could control music just by
connecting via Bluetooth
without the need to pay for
the app.
What else did I like about
the 390 Duke? Well, it's got
a bright and well laid out
TFT colour display which
can be set up with multiple
screens, the brakes and
suspension are great, the
seat is real comfortable and
the Akrapovic carbon muffler
is quiet with the baffle in –
and loud without it. Probably
the only two things that
took a little longer to grow
on me were the new-style
'alien-face' LED headlights,
and the long stinger of a
number plate/light bracket.
But other than that, I think
the 390 Duke may have
swayed my desire away from
a supermotard-style dirt bike
for the streets. Go ride one,
it's a heap of fun and the
Rekluse clutch might be just
what you're after.
