Harley Davidson was on hand with its
iconic American machinery, supported
by their growing dealer network in New
Zealand. East Coast Harley Davidson in
Mount Maunganui has been open less than
12 months, with industry stalwart Andrew
Hardisty at the helm, serving the wider Bay
of Plenty district, and the Worsley family
have secured the brand for their site in
Feilding, to be named Harley Davidson
Feilding, opening mid-December.
On the Indian Motorcycles stand, the highly
anticipated flat-track inspired FTR 1200 drew
102 KIWI RIDER
plenty of attention, unveiled in New Zealand
for the first time.
Event sponsor Ride Forever, an initiative
run by the ACC, also had a large display
offering riding tips, and courses to help
riders improve.
The governing body of motorcycling in this
country, Motorcycling New Zealand was
also on hand, showcasing its two premier
categories, the New Zealand Motocross
Championship, and the NZSBK New Zealand
Superbike Championship, both kicking off
for another season in early 2019.
