The three power
modes introduced
last year are still
there for 2019.
There’s a softer mode
for slippery conditions,
a broad one for general
riding and, lastly, aggressive
delivery mode for fast and
hard riding. These modes are
selected via a button on the
left hand switch block and are
identified by the number of blue
light flashes beside the button. Three
flashes are for aggressive, two for
medium and one for soft.
New for this year is Honda’s HRC Launch
Control which is operated by holding the
start button down when the bike is running
with the clutch pulled in. This also has three
settings from milder to full power with a flashing
purple light identifying which launch mode is
selected. One flash for mellow and so on. Each
power and launch control mode makes a discernible
difference and KR will have an in depth look at launch
control in the very near future.
