Much has been said about the cult status of the Z1300, and it is easy to see why the model has found a niche amongst devotees of the great bikes that were produced during the 1970s. It was a rich period in motorcycle design and development, and much of what occurred during that period is still apparent in the output of today. Big is better may have been a catch phrase, but perhaps moderation in these energy sensitive times is more appropriate.
